Millcreek Residents Deserve Answers

Millcreek Township says it wants to preserve our volunteer fire departments. But Fire Chief Mike Cliff is publicly talking about a plan to "fully merge into one department."

Millcreek Township Residents, ask the Supervisors to clear this up.
Email the Supervisors today. Tell them you want clear answers about the future of Millcreek's volunteer fire departments.

The full letter from Belle Valley lays out the questions the Board needs to answer.

Read that letter and then email your Township Supervisors:

Dear Supervisors Bock, Clear, and Morris,
I am writing as a Millcreek Township resident and taxpayer because I am concerned about the future of our volunteer fire departments.
The Township has said it intends to preserve the independent volunteer departments. Yet Fire Chief Mike Cliff was recently quoted saying that signing the proposed agreement would put Belle Valley on a path to "fully merge into one department."
Those positions cannot both be true.
I am asking the Board of Supervisors to:

  • Clearly state whether the independent volunteer fire departments will remain independent.
  • State whether the Board supports Chief Cliff's plan to "fully merge into one department."
  • If it does not, publicly reject that plan.
  • Make clear whether signing the proposed agreement puts Belle Valley on a path toward merger.

The Board of Supervisors is elected to govern Millcreek Township. Please take control of this process and protect the volunteer fire departments that have served our community for generations.
I look forward to your response.

Sincerely,
[NAME]
Millcreek Township Resident
